Do you remember Horatio from "The Scene of the Crime"? Today he is 68 and you would hardly recognize him:

When you hear the name David Caruso, something will surely dawn on you because it sounds familiar.

To this day, he is featured on various television shows in his role as Miami Police Department detective Horatio, who solves even the most complicated murders in the series "Crime Scene."

Caruso was born on January 7, 1956, in Forest Hills, Queens, New York. His parents divorced when he was young, and he grew up with only one parent, but determined to achieve something significant in his life.

Some of his first films were First Blood (1982) and An Officer and a Gentleman (1982). However, these roles were small and, while they helped establish him as an actor, they were not the reason he became a recognizable face on television.

He got his breakthrough role in NYPD Blue. In 1993, Caruso was cast as Detective John Kelly on the hit series. The series was a huge success, earning him fame and fans, as well as a Golden Globe Award.

Although Caruso only stayed on the series for one season, as he left after a dispute over salary and creative freedom, he has already made an impression on the audience.

After leaving NYPD Blue, he returned to film, but with limited success. He appeared in Movies like Jade (1995) and Kiss of Death (1995), both of which were not commercially successful.

The big break

In 2002, Caruso made a big comeback and his big break in CSI: Miami. There, he played the lead role of cop Horatio Kane. The show was a huge hit and his character became instantly beloved for his eloquence and cool demeanor.

"Crime Scene: Miami" ran for ten seasons and helped cement Caruso's place in television history.

However, many years have passed since then. After over 200 episodes, David Caruso left the screen and viewers forgot about him. Many fans are surprised by his appearance today. Most even have a hard time recognizing him.
